?When can I get my tax back?
You can claim your tax back after the tax year has ended, but you must claim your tax back within a year.
The tax year in Luxembourg runs from January 1st to December 31st.

?What is a Certificat de Remuneration/Certificat de Salaire ou de Pension?
This is the official government form you get from your employer either at the end of your employment of the end of the tax year. It states all your earnings and the amount of tax you’ve paid.
If you don’t have your Certificat de Remuneration, let us know by emailing luxembourg@taxback.com and we can get it for you. We need it to apply for your tax refund!
?I earned money outside of Luxembourg during the year – do I need to declare it?
Yes it’s better if you declare it, specifically if you worked in Luxembourg for less than nine months. The tax office will ask us this information when we submit your application so it’s better for us to know this from the start.
?Can I do it myself?

In the end, the Luxembourg tax office has the final say about the size of the refund you get.
?What's the difference between filing my tax return and getting my tax refund?
Filing your tax return means filing the document with the tax office that states your earnings, taxes paid, deductable expenses and allowances.
The tax office reviews this and if you have overpaid taxes, you will be due a tax refund.
A tax refund is money that is returned to you due to your overpayment of taxes, or you claiming any tax deductible expenses.
